Last night, in London, the Mobile Entertainment Awards took place.’a0 The Meffys are an industry acknowledgment to’a0 companies who demonstrate leadership and innovation in chosen categories.

We were very excited to find out that Taptu was awarded the award in the Content Discovery and Personalization category.’a0 We have worked hard to provide content discovery for touchscreen users and particularly the search experience on Taptu.

According to the Meffy’s website, the Content Discovery and Personalisation award is aimed at:

This award highlights the latest tools and techniques helping to drive more personalised mobile content discovery and content sharing based on common interests and profiles. Judges will be looking for entries which make it easy to find, purchase and popularise mobile content and will be giving particular focus to:

According to our Co-Founder and VP of Business Development, Bob Last, who accepted the award for Taptu, another notable event of the night was a Recognition Award to Dr. Andrew Hsu of Synaptics.’a0 Dr. Hsu invented the capacitive technology behind many of the touchscreens we use today.

Bob said: “So clearly all of Taptu owe a big thanks to Andrew, without whom our touchscreen search service wouldn’t be possible!”
