Would you use a video ringtone on your mobile? You know, those annoying ring tones that some *other* people have, what if your phone showed a video when you received a phone call? Vringo, a start-up out of New York City, is launching video ringtone channels.

At first I thought was a far fetched and even weird idea, however I can see it’s merit.

The video ringtone idea seems plausible to me if the video embodies a cause or principle they hold dear to their heart. Which is why the company is wisely positioning these video ringtones and channels with the upcoming presidential election. That’s right, you can have your very own John McCain or Barack Obama video ringtone.
